Danika is an Undergraduate Research Assistant pursuing a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Co-op) with a focus in Toxicology. Danika worked on two experiments at the Prairie Wetland Research Facility: one focusing on wetland salinization and the other examining impacts of Tebuconazole (a fungicide) on wetlands. Her primary work is identifying and enumerating 2024 emergent insects gathered from the Prairie Wetland Salinization Experiment. She will be presenting her work at the 2025 Undergraduate Research Award Showcase. Danika looks forward to continuing her work in ecotoxicology and hopes to use this knowledge towards developing remediation and/or reclamation strategies.
