Laura Gasque defended her Ph.D. in the Department of Environment and Geography at the University of Manitoba. Co-supervised by Dr. Hanson (University of Manitoba) and Dr. Hecker (University of Saskatchewan), she worked on the characterization of specific toxicity pathways induced by complex mixtures of contaminants present in groundwater by using the fathead minnow fish model. Her results were used in a larger effect-directed analysis (EDA) framework in order to identify the main elements leading to toxicity on industrial sites.
