Grace Thomson
M.Sc. Student
Grace is a M.Sc. student at the University of Manitoba in the Department of Environment and Geography. She obtained a B.Sc. in Agroecology with a minor in Entomology from the University of Manitoba. Grace’s research is focused on examining the long-term effects of diluted bitumen (dilbit) on benthic macroinvertebrate communities on the Quesnel River. This research is part of a larger study investigating the effect of dilbit on chinook salmon, ultimately aiming to inform oil spill response within river ecosystems.
Grace has previous experience in agricultural research, where she worked with both conventional and organic production systems.
